Benfumat’s Nature Salmon are raised in farms located in the northern most part of Norway, where its pure waters create a natural environment in which the conditions are ideal for breeding. The marine currents and large area force the salmon to move continuously and they are fed a balanced diet of fish and shrimp by experienced professionals.

Once the salmon reaches the hands of master smokers in Barcelona, they go through a slow smoking process that respects traditional artisan techniques. This process adapts them to what we call the ‘Mediterranean Style’, which is a more subtle flavor, in intensity of both smoke and salt, in order to respect the flavor of the fish.

Benfumat’s Wild King Salmon, fished in Alaska, is a wild, natural, sustainable product whose adult life is spent in the waters of the North Pacific Ocean.  Due to the extreme physical efforts made during its lifetime, it has a low fat content, consistent and firm texture, and very intense flavor.
